作為曾經的“國民果汁”，匯源曾經長期穩坐國內果汁市場份額第一的寶座。1996年，匯源果汁通過7000萬元巨資競標央視5秒帶標廣告權，一舉打下知名度，隨后推出的果汁產品，也廣受市場歡迎。

2007年，匯源在香港完成上市，創始人朱新禮也躋身福布斯中國百大富豪行列，身家達到61.3億元。但在此后，陸續經過可口可樂收購案中止、企業停牌退市事件后，匯源果汁不斷曝出財務危機，甚至連創始人朱新禮也被列為“老賴”。
